Bubble tea, tea houses, Asian bakeries and dessert shops in this group are usually walk-in, counter-order businesses with a menu board overhead listing sweetness and ice levels you can adjust when ordering. Standard bubble tea customization includes sugar level (0-100%), ice level, and a choice of toppings like boba pearls, pudding or jelly, usually at a small extra charge. Asian bakeries sell items individually with tongs and a tray, cafeteria-style, rather than pre-boxed, and pastries are typically less sweet than Western bakery items. Lines build up quickly after school and in the evening, especially near colleges. Most of these businesses accept cards and mobile pay and skew younger in clientele and atmosphere.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 8:30 am–6:30 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (267) 407-7339. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, morningstarphiladelphia.kwickmenu.com.
Its Google rating is 3.8 out of 5 from 70 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.
Philadelphia is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Philadelphia follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Authentic Chinese food. The rice rolls are silky, thin and soft. I got the beef brisket rice roll and congee. The soy-sauce stewed beef was tender and super tasty. The congee has thin slices of ginger in it and lots of thousand-year old egg and pork pieces. There’s lots of street parking and WiFi for customers. I would definitely recommend this place!

It’s a tiny joint. But my wife and I had a hankering for some decent Chinese food—not the typical fast food crap. My wife ordered the century egg and minced pork congee which came literally bubbling hot. Soooooo good but be careful with this one. I ordered the pigs feet egg noodle soup. Damn! The amount of pigs feet was insane. And so delicious also. All their dim sum items are frozen ones though so if you’re looking for authentic dim sum, this ain’t the place. But frozen charsiew bun properly steamed is still pretty darn good. So I quite enjoyed it. Oh and their fried wings? Damn! I’m a huge chicken wing fan and this place—I’d go back just for their chicken wings. The batter was light, delicate and super crunchy. The flavor (even without salt) was awesome. (I like mine plain). Jolly good wings, I’d say. Atmosphere? Well there’s a, not big, HUGE screen tv with Chinese entertainment going on (it was Chinese New Year) which even though I’m Chinese, I didn’t understand a lick of it. Their bathroom—when I entered, I was about to say, wow! Nice and clean unlike the typical Chinese restaurant where it’s super disgusting — buuuut, there were 2 small roaches 🪳 on the floor. So minus points

The best rice rolls I've ever had in Philadelphia, very soft and elastic, and the drink is not too sweet and very fragrant.

Traditional HK style milk tea, flavor of milk & tea are balancing well, but $4 (small, hot) is not cheap. Clay-pot rice is good with crunchy rice. Braised beef over rice is normal. Singapore rice noodle is good. Steamed rice roll is good. Beef strew is good.

I have been here many times but this is my first review. Love this place, one of the best and closest to Hong Kong style food. My favorite dish is beef stew noodle soup, then clay pot chicken with mushrooms and spareribs. Remember to call ahead to pre order the clay pot rice or else you will have to wait for a long time! Kids love the steam beef rice noodles. Their premade milk tea is ok but it’s not what I’m here for! Their curry fish ball is very delicious as well!
